Overview

Gain in-demand skills in digital-learning design and development with the Graduate Certificate in Digital Learning and Teaching at Victoria University.

Learn from experts in digital pedagogy and human-centered design. This course suits educators, trainers, and career changers looking to move into learning experience design, online education, or digital pedagogy roles.

Our career-focused course will teach you to create effective online learning activities and content. You'll learn the production processes of learning experience digital design, and development and edtech tools.

You’ll graduate ready to work in this ever-expanding field as a learning designer, instructional designer, or digital educator.

Engage with AI tools, processes, and knowledge so that you can take advantage of rapidly changing technology. You'll examine new tools and practices, to future-proof your study.

You'll also learn how analytics can inform your work and how courses material can engage with digital tools to improve the learning experience.

This course is led by members of VU's Learning Design and Innovation team. We draw on our alumni network to gain further insights into changes in the field.

You'll work on industry and community projects, and graduate with up-to-date knowledge of technical tools and digital systems, and an interview-ready portfolio.

The course is designed for a range of professionals (both technically proficient and those less so). Classes are held online outside of business hours (no campus attendance required).

As this is a relatively new field, a wide range of previous undergraduate degrees meet the selection criteria. Please contact Dr. Natasha Dwyer at [email protected] for more information.
